Capt. Steve Betz of Tampa Flats and Bay Charters not only guides you to the fish,but also strives to make every charter informative and an adventure. Capt. Steve feels there is much more to a fishing charter than catching that trophy. Included in his charter he often tries to educate his clients about Tampa Bay and the wonderful estuary inside of its borders.
Capt. Steve offers charters seven days a week,three hundred and sixty five days a year. His target species are Redfish, Spotted Sea Trout,Snook, Tarpon, Cobia and many others. Mixing it up is something he likes to do. Rather than sitting on a flat waiting on fish that may not show up Capt. Steve will spare no expense and make the run to more fertile fishing grounds. Capt. Steve knows that money does not grow on trees and he strives to give his clients the best for the hard earned money they spend with him.

 Captains Bio:
Capt. Steve Betz has lived in the Tampa bay area for over forty years. He has been salt water fishing for most of his life. Tampa Bay has been his main stay and he has spent many days and hours learning the ins and out of the area.
Even after all the time he has spent scouting and searching out different areas in Tampa Bay Capt. Steve will be the first to admit that knowing all of Tampa bay would take more than one lifetime.
Capt. Steve has participated in several different tournament events.
A couple of mention are the Extreme Redfish Series and the West Coast Redfish Tour. After fishing different tournament venues and even placing in the top five in several of them Capt. Steve hung his tournament hat up so to speak and turned his full attention to being a full time fishing guide.
Capt. Steve has been on national telivision on Sling N Bait TV and has also co-hosted the popular local radio show Slot Limit Radio.
Fishing is Capt. Steve's passion and first and foremost in his mind. |
