Capt. Lou Baggett is truly the "Native Saltwaterman". He has taken thousands of satisfied clients in his awsome 40 year career. He specializes in back country fishing (back country is defined as fishing bays, coastal islands and adjacent inland waters that are always calm and smooth) from July 1 thru April 15. No one ever gets sea sick fishing with Capt. Lou. On one of Capt. Lou's half day or full day trips you may catch snook, redfish, trout, and various other fish. Capt. Lou loves fishing with everyone, expecially families. There's nothing like a family day of fishing in SW. Florida.
April 15 thru June 30, Capt. Lou will back country fish, but specializes in Tarpon Fishing in this time frame. Capt. Lou's lifelong experience assures you of the best opportunity of catching a Silver King in April, May, or June in the Boca Grande, Fl area, but BE WARNED "Once you've caught your first Tarpon, you'll want to come back year after year to do battle with this majestic creature".

Captains Bio:
A little about Captain Lou
Born in Osprey, Fl growing up in the 50’s and 60’s, SW Fl bays, coastal islands and beaches were like heaven to me. My mothers’ sides of our family were all commercial fishermen back many generations in SW Fl. My Dads sides were all avid outdoorsmen and recreational fishermen for many generations here in SW Fl as well. Learning at an early age the value of giving back to the resource from both families is the core value of sharing my life with our beautiful resources here in SW Florida.
What a place to grow up for a kid who loves to fish. Early on I was taught the impact and relationship I played in our resource. To understand the relationship that all we creatures share has been a continuing learning experience for me. The resource has changed, but I haven’t. Placing the resource above me is still my way.
What a pleasure it is to share these values with my 3 children, 3 grandchildren, and all who fish with me.
Fishing is more than a livelihood to me it’s a way of life. Always has been, always will be. |
