Upper Chespaeake Bay Fishing, Saltwater Fishing Report

Fishing has been good the last month, stripers are being caught utilziing peeler, soft, crab, spot, and chum. This year I have seen some of the biggest white perch we have caught in years. On one trip we had five citation white perch. The cat fish and rays have been hitting on just about any bait you put in the water. Some of the key spots are the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, Belvedere Shoals and Love Point. We have also been catching mid range stripers between 24 and 28 inches trolling the channel edges with spoons and stretch 20's, 25's, and 30's.
The heat we have been having in Maryland has the bay temperatures in some areas up to 84 degrees. If you get to Baltimore-Baltimore Inner Harbor, call 443-938-1658, for some great fishing.

Captain "Tracy" is a licensed U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Marine Officer that holds an Operator of Uninspected Passenger Vessel near coastal waters not more that 100 miles offshore license. Captain Tracy has worked on Charter Boats since 1996.

Captain Tracy spent most of his time working on a charter boat in which his father Captain "Butch owns and operates. (Three G's Charter Service- Top Duck". His experience has been fishing the waters of the Chesapeake Bay and the Atlantic Ocean from the Delaware Bay to Chincoteague Virginia. He has held his U.S.C.G. Captains License since June 1998.
