greetings from the panhandle . the fishing is great , but dont worry , it will get better...lol .
lately , with all the influx of bait in the bay , and the warming water , there seems to be a gator trout or redfish near every pot-hole on the flats . the early morning bite has been great , casting artificials like... well.... anything from floating twitch baits to walk the dog lures to prop-baits , i recomend removing the front prop , if it has one . my favorite has been a 6 inch baggleys bang-o-lure , gold with a black back . a close 2nd would be the ol 5 inch rapala broke back minnow in black / silver . let it float , twitch it down , and let it float back up . ...BA-WHOOSH....GET THE NET.....
today with a 20 knot northwest wind , they were kinda slow , but we did manage to find a few . pictured here is darryll kaiser with a nice speck taken on the gold bang-o-lure . the fishing is great , and getting better each day , thank you , capt. steve |
Captain's Bio: Hi, my name is Captain Steve I fish the inshore waters of the gulf coast, mainly in Panama City. I've been guiding inshore here for several years and consider myself truly blessed to be able to fish every day, and bring smiles to peoples faces, as I guide them to that trophy redfish or trout, or show a family a time to remember. The waters of the gulf are second to none when it comes to abundant fishing opportunities, and beautiful water. Come fish with me and see what im talking about, thank you, Captain Steve |
