Oct 25-22 - Sailfish off the coast South Florida - Hooked Up Charter, Saltwater Fishing Report

October 25th, 2011
Today we had a shared charter with Donny and Bruce from Texas, Al and Allen from South Florida and Ernie from Georgia.
Today we went right to kite fishing and once again it paid off.
Al ended up landing a big sailfish while Allen caught a nice dolphin fish.

Fishing off the Coast of South Florida aboard Hooked Up
October 23rd, 2011
Today we had Tom, Ed, Phil and Dustin all from Conn.
As it turned out everyone had a late night the night before and we knew this was going to be a short trip. So out went the kites with the live baits suspended from them and the wait began. Than just like that a sailfish popped up and we were Hooked Up. Tom jumped in the chair and within 20 min we had caught the fish and back to the dock we went.

Guys sorry we couldn’t stay longer but all the same if we were only going to get a shot at one fish that was the one to catch.

Fishing with Mike and his buddies from Boston aboard Hooked Up
October 22nd, 2011
Today we took out Jeff, Ryan, Kyle, Kosta, Sean and Mike all from Boston and down here in South Florida to celebrate the upcoming wedding for Mike.
Truth being told fishing was slow today. We went fight to kite fishing and set out both kites with 2 live goggle eyes suspended from each kite.
Ok so the trap was set and the wait began. We waited and waited and yes waited.
Than just as we were picking up the lines to go try another spot a sailfish popped up and decided to make our day.
Within seconds of the fish showing up we were Hooked Up.
Mike jumped in the chair and the fight was on. I don’t know if they had a late night the night before or if Mike was just feeling a bit under the weather but after 10 min struggle with this monster sailfish Kosta jumped in the chair to give Mike a break.
10 min later we had this big sailfish to the side of the boat. We got a few pictures and than released him to fight again another day.
