Lake Erie charter fishing in the fall can be some of the best fishing of the season.
Mid October was really good with lots of 8-11 Lb. walleye being caught. Although foul weather made for many cancellations we still managed to get out and get nice walleye. Trolling Reef Runners fastened to planer boards was the bait of choice for most charters, Pink Squirrel Green Flash and Pearl ghost some good colors . With dipsy divers taking there fair share of walleye as always. Covering the waters from Vermilion to Sandusky to stay on the active walleye. As the water got colder the weather just did not cooperate into November so it was time to run the the boat back to Fairport Harbor and sneak in a few more Perch charters and winterize the boat.I look forward to getting back to Vermilion for the large Lake Erie Walleye every year.
