I am with Lee and Von today fishing Miami Beach we started out cast netting some pilchards and then ran to Government Cut. Our goal was Tarpon but some other fish got in the way like Muttons, Mangroves, Mackerels, Jacks, Blue Runners and some big Jack Crevalles all of these fish responded to live Pilchards. We had a couple of lost fish that I wish I could of seen. The Tarpon were thick but would not eat our Shrimp our Pilchard baits. These guys were elderly and do a yearly trip to stay in touch.

I am at Flamingo today with Eric, Leo and their dad Jose. It was a cool morning and we started out quickly. Eric hooked a big Trout on his first cast on a Rapala Subwalk and continued hooking them while his brother and dad fished live shrimp catching Snappers, Ladyfish and Redfish. We moved around looking for current and super low water. Once we did we found a few Snook, 40 of them to be exact up to 10 lbs. Eric also caught a 40 lb Tarpon all three anglers caught Tarpon, Snook, Trout, Redfish for their Slams. It has bee right around a year (Freeze of Jan 2010) since I have had a day like this. Its good to see a lot of little Snook coming back.

Captain's Bio: Light tackle sport fishing has been the thing that has driven me for the last 30 years. I have built a reputation for Tarpon from small to giant but I also fish for everthing thats swims. Miami Beach offers year round Tarpon and Snook fishing and I spend over 100 days a year fishing Flamingo which is in Everglades National Park . Flamingo is the saltwater side of the Everglades where we catch Tarpon, Snook Redfish, Trout, Sharks and more!
I run a Pathfinder 22 ft Bayboat powered by Yamaha 250 S.H.O. I can handle up to 4 people.
