Fort Lauderdale Fishing on Happy Day Today with Capt. Zsak
Today variable winds were out of the east southeast with moderate seas here in sunny Fort Lauderdale FL. With a high stationary still sitting over us, forecast was for a pleasant sunny weather.
Mr. Myson Siegel, an avid fishermen who has fished around the world in such places as Costa Rica, Panama, and St. Thomas, and family from Chicago chartered the Happy Day Today Topshot Fishing to do some deep sea fishing here in Fort Lauderdale FL.
With Bonito and Tunas still migrating past Fort Lauderdale, we started off doing some trolling. We put two plainers out, one with a #3 ½ blue reflector drome spoon and the other plainer with a double hook Bonito strip with a pink sea witch in front. For surface baits we put out three Ballyhoos, one Bonito strip and a ½ ounce jap feather. Numerous Wahoos are still being fished off of Fort Lauderdale, therefore, because of their razor sharp teeth, we put a piece of #6 wire in front of both baits on the plainers to eliminate any cut-offs.
I trolled towards one of the 36 artificial wrecks off of Fort Lauderdale. On our way and over the artificial wrecks, we hooked up Bonitos ranging from 7-15 lbs., King fish from 8-20 lbs and a couple of Black Fin Tunas. As the whole family alternated catching fish, Mr. Siegel enjoyed watching his family reeling in the catches.
With a good catch of fish on the charter boat Happy Day Today Topshot Fishing, it was time to start heading back from our deep sea fishing in Fort Lauderdale FL to the dock at Bahia Mar. This ends another successful and adventurous deep sea fishing charter on the Happy Day Today/Topshot Fishing with Captain Zsak.
