The fall fishing is starting to pick up , and its going to be a good season . I'm sorry I haven't been reporting lately, but I've been busy. It has been a great summer, with nice catches of trout and redfish. Also, plenty of action with the large spanish and king mackerel, blacktip sharks, and bull sharks. The water is cooling off a little, and the flounder and fall pompano are getting cranked up.
Over the next few weeks, it should be really good fishing in Panama City. In my oppinion, there's nothing better than fresh pompano - deeeelicious. In the picture is a happy angler with a fine redfish landed the other day, and some more, with a slot red and a pompano for dinner. The bull reds are starting to gather in large numbers. One day last week, we saw them comming a long way off and then they they converged around the boat, and the water turned red.
There must have been 500 fish in that school. Can you say controlled chaos? Thanks for reading my report, I'd like to thank our militairy for their service, and the heavenly father for all his blessings.
Come on down, I've got a bent rod with your name on it. Captain Steve of Blessed Moon Fishing Charters. |
Captain's Bio: Hi, my name is Captain Steve I fish the inshore waters of the gulf coast, mainly in Panama City. I've been guiding inshore here for several years and consider myself truly blessed to be able to fish every day, and bring smiles to peoples faces, as I guide them to that trophy redfish or trout, or show a family a time to remember. The waters of the gulf are second to none when it comes to abundant fishing opportunities, and beautiful water. Come fish with me and see what im talking about, thank you, Captain Steve |
