I am with Rick, Dave and Mike today at Flamingo. I fished with them last year out of Haulover right after the freeze for Tarpon, we had a good night. They wanted to try something different so I suggested the back country. We left the dock @ 7 AM and temps were 47 degrees! It was a cold ride into the back country even for these guys from Ohio. We worked around the back country and got into a pretty good bite of Snook, Trout, Ladyfish. Dave had the biggest Snook of 11 1/2 lbs. Mike is about 12 or 13 yrs old and he was having a blast, I asked if someone would like to throw top water and he jumped all over it. His first cast had a monster eat it, before we knew it the big Snook shook her head and frayed thru the leader. I rigged another but we didn't get any more of those hits. He caught a few small ones but was happy because it was on a top water. Rick did a pretty good job as well catching plenty of Snook to 9 lbs.

I am fishing with Karl and Rick today and I promised them a good trip, last month we had a bad weather trip for Tarpon off of Miami Beach. Again today its cold and water temps are 56 degrees,
so we have to wait for the sun to come up and heat the water some. Eventually it reached 61 and the fish responded, Karl started it off with a medium sized Snook. We kept working and Karl is hooked up for about the 10 th time, I can see Jim getting frustrated. Jim finally hooks a Snook and breaks the ice from then on it was non stop the rest of the day. Karl had a run of 7 fish in a row all over 30 inches and Jim kept quiet hoping he was next, he was. Jim hooked the biggest fish of the day @ 15 lbs and he got it next to the boat and lost it. He didn't get mad he told Karl that was the biggest one all day Karl responded" he never saw it"! This was a classic line between 2 good friends competing against each other all day. They both sat down and said they had enough let's go home.

I am with a Family from Iceland today and they are actually cold. I fished the common areas out in Florida Bay today and caught lots of fish. We caught Trout, Jacks, Ladyfish Mackerel,Bluefish and Big Sharks.

If your staying on Miami Beach the Tarpon are here and will be here for the next 5 months, there are plenty of species mixed in
with them (usually). I offer full or 1/2 days and evening trips.

If interested give me a call at 305 333 8149,
Captain Jimbo
