Sabine lake fishing has been improved with the incoming tides the bait is coming in with the bigger speckled trout showing up on the south end of sabine lake on the reef and sabine pass channel and the louisians shoreline in good numbers we have fished these fish all week and the weather was bad the water muddy but the speckled trout are here we had trout to 6 lbs and good numbers 17 to 20 inch i am drifting 2 to 4 ft water down to the east on the louisiana shoreline best bait stanley wedge tail redshade 3 1/2 with 1/8 jig tipped with fish bites shrimp as the water clears to the east best bait glow/chart reactions chub minnow is producing trout also. Flounder fishing has picked up we are boxing flounder to 3 lbs and this bite will pick up the next 2 to 3 weeks they are coming into the system also. Redfish are still on the louisiana shore line and feeding on mullet we are still sight fishing them. Birds have been working over schools of small trout feeding on shrimp as it warms up this is going to be great fishing in april on Sabine lake Port arthur texas.
